Wang'in It

Alexander Wang is completely out of your budget when you're broker than broke, and the sad joke is that I am. Even when it's on 'super sale' at dirt cheap online retailers, I still can't afford a single item. Since I can't own it I have to go about ways of embodying the style with my own pieces or turning what I have into similar look-a-likes. Case in point, these denim cut off chain shorts.

(Fashion Star blazer, BDG v-neck, DIY Alexander Wang shorts, Ravinia thigh highs, & Forever21 heels)

This is a fairly easy DIY. I took a pair of old shorts and took a box cutter to them. I cut/shredded random holes and with my fingers loosened up the shredding of denim. (Mind you I also did this on the back and cut the sides on the shorts just a tad). After I was pleased with the distressed look, I took an old necklace I had and turned it into various lengths of chains. I took these and roughly mapped out where I wanted each one to go. Then I simply took a needle and thread and sewed each one in place.
