This DIY project will require a shoulder pad, sequins, a lot of sequins, beads, chains, a safety pin or two, and a needle & thread. This project probably costs a total of ten bucks or less, but will test your patience. I took the shoulder pad from one of my mom's old jackets (thanks mom, ha she'll never notice) and began to sew on silver and gold sequins. This alone felt like it took forever and looking back I probably could have actually just glued them on. I suppose you ought to keep that in mind if you do consider doing this DIY project.
I then took beads and sewed those on top in randomized clusters. (I don't think you can glue the beads - maybe with a hot glue gun, but they're easy enough to sew). I took apart a necklace and used the chains, sewed that on as well. After all that sewing I safety pinned my shoulder embellishment to a dress. With this shoulder embellishment you'll need to pin it and wear it with a sleeved garment, as opposed to the other DIY shoulder jewelry piece here.
